NorCal Nevada ‘Cross Week 1
12 September 2014
First week of weekend racing is in the books and it went off with as much savoir-faire as possible from a cyclocross community. The inaugural West Sac GP looks to be a force to be reckoned with whilst CCCX’s opener added the balance of continuity. Here are a few photographs from the racing as the region prepares for just a single event this weekend…back at Fort Ord for another CCCX extravaganza.
Ellen Sherrill (Rock Lobster) and the iconic bridge at West Sac
Emery Wedel (Caletti Cycles) missed the start of his single speed race at WSCXGP – he made up for it with some high-flying racing and still managed fourteenth out of 49
It was a “loud” weekend but Stace Cooper (GHETOCX) wanted to go “one louder”
It couldn’t happen to a better dog
Stella Carey (ibis/Buy-cell.com) makes her return to ‘cross and is welcomed back
Cristablo Ducuatro shed some pounds this summer – guess they didn’t go too far
Ben Gomez-Villafañe (ibis/Buy-cell.com) raced Juniors and the Elite Men at CCCX – top ten jamma
Bryan Beardsley (LeadOut Racing) increasing the height of the plank barrier
Nick Schaffner (Marc Pro-Strava) can tell you just how hot it was at West Sac
Walton Brush (MashSF) – you know he fly high!
